The repercussions of Covid-19 hit our theatre program hard. Not only did our beloved students not get the chance to showcase their amazing skills and their dedication to the art of theatre, we also were devastated financially. Only a week away from performance of "Beauty and the Beast", we had spent 90% of our budget to prepare for the show. In theatre, you have to front load payments with the idea that once the show occurs that the ticket revenue will more than cover the costs.
We had to pay for the rights to the show, rental of materials, set materials, prop rental fees, shipping costs for the projector, costume rental fees, make-up materials, lighting instruments, sound materials, marketing materials, and pay all of the theatre professionals that were helping to make our production a success. Although some patrons donated ticket money, we were hit with finance charges from the credit card companies which meant that we lost money there as well.
We would be honored if you would donate any amount that you can to our program so that once we are back in person we will be able to create the same level of production that our community deserves.
All donations go directly to the theatre program.
